Bayanihan Australia Community Network Inc (BACNI) is a non-profit Filipino Australian community organization based in the City of Melbourne. The volunteer organization was established in 2005, with membership from across Melbourne and regional Geelong. Our vision of “community partners delivering benefits to the Filipino Australian community” is founded on the bayanihan spirit of volunteering, positive leadership and partnerships with mainstream organizations.
The my health, my wealth Volunteer Program is part of BACNI’s 5-year Strategic Plan 2011-2015. The Program is a health information initiative aimed at providing Filipino Australian families with correct and appropriate information to improve their access to community and health services when they need support. Using bayanihan spirit of community volunteering, the health professionals delivering the Program are qualified personnel who agree to do health promotion free of charge.
